Linux is great operating system for an IT specialist. No matter if you are programmer, administrator or technician, Linux will give you great tools that will help you speed up your work. Thanks to the fact that majority of those tools are free and open source you will be able to adapt their performance to your individual needs.
In Linux you will find plenty virtual machines, integrated development environments, administration tools, diagnostic, forensic and recovery tools. Linux is a true paradise for IT specialist. Some of the tools shown here assess the level of server security by simulating attacks. This kind of tools should never be used against servers you do not own or administer. Remember If you will break this rule you may suffer serious consequences of such decision.
